Heart of Chelsea Animal Hospital

I love Heart of Chelsea Animal Hospital. Dr. Nguyen and the entire staff are very caring, friendly and professional. I feel that my two dogs' care is their primary priority and that they provide options on medical care, just like a physician would do with humans. Also, Dr. Nguyen has looked at many rescue dogs that I have fostered and I can't thank him enough for his dedication and support. 

Yes, the clinic is expensive, but it's NYC and it is a medical facility where equipment, rent, pharmaceuticals, care, etc, are extremely expensive, just like at a human physician's clinic. I do believe that these doctors have a right to make a good living while also caring for the animals, since it is a specialized profession, again like physicians for humans. 

As someone who has dogs and fosters dogs with a rescue group in NYC, one of the questions I always ask prospective adopters is if they could afford emergency medical care from day 1 of the adoption, since pets are expensive to be responsible for--and they're worth it. They're living beings, so they deserve it. Until medical equipment and pharmaceutical companies take it down a few notches, the entire cost of medical care will be quite expensive, especially for our beloved pets, since our jobs don't cover their health insurance...:). I jest, but it is true, so it's just an important part of considering what it takes to have a pet. But the staff and the adorable and always informative and caring Dr. Nguyen do provide top care and support for my pets and rescues. Love you guys! Oh, and a big hug to Dr. Gabriele, too! She's also wonderful!
