So long friend...
Yesterday our beloved hospital mascot, Tilt, passed on peacefully surrounded by those who adored and cared for him. Twelve years ago, a sweet Siamese who needed a home was brought to Heart of Chelsea in a cardboard box. Shy and cautious, the cat walked tentatively out of the carrier, his head tilted to the side. After a few days, it was obvious that Tilt was here to stay. He was never phased by anything – no dog, cat, rabbit, or hamster would bother him as he sunned on the waiting room benches and walked over the keyboards on the front desk. He loved chicken and would never turn down a treat. When the front door opened, he had no interest in investigating the outside world – he was the true king of Heart of Chelsea.
With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Tilt and thank him for the wonderful years he gave us, making us laugh and keeping us company as we continue to help the neighborhood’s furry friends. Tilt, we love you.
